Let the altitude do its work, and bring on the alcohol! Bogota's rumba (partying) is pretty serious. Things heat up at around midnight and go until 3:00am. If the spirit moves you, you can generally find after hours places or a house party to carry your shenanigans into the next morning. Of course you can't bring bottles into bars, but you can buy bottles there and then take them with you if there's anything left over. Know that only the finest establishments are able to make a wide range of drinks and cocktails. It's usually better to order something off of the menu, or keep it simple with a rum and coke or a whiskey on the rocks.

Feel like you’re partying in the Rocky Horror Picture show. Lots of freakishly dressed mannequins on the walls and a live burlesque show. Mix of popular music. If you go, know that you should look inside a little shopping plaza that is between Carrera 13 and Carrera 15. You will have to pay a cover that is usually about $25.000 ($13 USD).
