Let the altitude do its work, and bring on the alcohol! Bogota's rumba (partying) is pretty serious. Things heat up at around midnight and go until 3:00am. If the spirit moves you, you can generally find after hours places or a house party to carry your shenanigans into the next morning. Of course you can't bring bottles into bars, but you can buy bottles there and then take them with you if there's anything left over. Know that only the finest establishments are able to make a wide range of drinks and cocktails. It's usually better to order something off of the menu, or keep it simple with a rum and coke or a whiskey on the rocks.

One of the few indie parties in Bogota. Recently renovated so it's twice the size, they often feature special DJs and live music. Thursday is a great night as weekend nights tend to be younger and very packed. Wednesday nights generally have no cover, but beginning Thursday, you might be paying $20.000 to get through the door.
