Andrés Carne de Res
Making your way up to Andres is a must if you are in Bogota for more than a day. The good-looking young waiters, delicious food, dancing, and theatre (there are live dance, music, and mime routines) pretty much cover all ground. Although there is now another location in Bogota proper, it is definitely still worth the trip to Chia. The best times to go are Friday and Saturday night or Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Order the mojitos for drinks, arepas de choclo and chicharrones for an appetizer, and lomo al trapo for a main course. Don't be worried if you are vegetarian, since there are many options.
Useful Information: Chia is about 45 minutes from Bogota. To get there, it is advisable to rent a van if you are more than four people (there is information about vans in our transportation section). The van will wait for you. Otherwise, just take a taxi from Bogota, and you will have no problem finding one after your meal to take you back to Bogota., Credit Cards, Reservations (recommended if you are arriving past 4:00 p.m.), Parking, and WiFi.
